This is one of the spectacular tours in Cape Town. You start this tour by driving along the Atlantic seaboard. Here you get panoramic views of the beautiful beaches of Cape Town. You drive past Clifton, a residential suburb with the four famous bikini beaches. These beaches are good for tanning but not for swimming. Just before entering Camps Bay there is the Maidens Cove parking area which is a must stop. Camps Bay Beach can be seen from the photo stop at Maidens Cove. After Camps Bay, you proceed to Hout Bay, which is at the start of Chapmans Peak Drive which was the brain child of Sir Frederick de Waal, the first administrator of the Cape Province. In Hout Bay you get the opportunity to buy fresh fish. You can also book a boat to Duiker Island to see the seals. But there is an additional cost for the trip. You proceed to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve on your way to Cape Point to see the mythical meeting place of two oceans; Indian and Atlantic.Depending on the schedule tourists can have lunch at their cost

On the way back, a detour is made to Boulders Baech in Simonstown to see the penguins. The last stop before you go back to the hotel is Kirstenbosch Gardens where you see the best of nature; different plants and flowers.

For nearly 400 years, Robben Island about 12 kilometre from Cape Town was a place of banishment. Robben Island was where apartheid regime rulers sent those regarded as political troublemakers, social outcasts and the unwanted of society. Robben Island became internationally known for its institutional brutality. The duty of those who the island prison was to isolate opponents of apartheid and crush their morale. Some freedom fighters spent more than a quarter of a century in prison for their beliefs.

The ferry takes 30 minutes to the tiny harbour. From there a bus ride takes one to historic places like the kramat, leper graveyard, a church designed by Sir Ebert Baker and the lime quarry where political prisoners endured lengthy hours of though physical labour. Driving along the shipwreck strew coast you can spot some antelope, plentiful seabirds and the lighthouse. The last stop is the maximum security prison where Nelson Mandela was jailed for 27 years.
